Ultrasound Therapy

What is Ultrasound Therapy?

Ultrasound therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to promote healing deep within soft tissues. Unlike diagnostic ultrasound (used to take images), therapeutic ultrasound delivers focused, high-frequency sound waves that gently penetrate the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

These sound waves create gentle vibrations at the cellular level, increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and speeding up the healing process—especially in areas that are difficult to reach with hands-on care alone.

Benefits of Ultrasound Therapy:
  • Reduces pain and muscle spasms
  • Decreases inflammation and swelling
  • Promotes tissue regeneration and healing
  • Improves circulation to injured or tight areas
  • Enhances mobility and flexibility

Common Conditions Treated:
  • Muscle strains and sprains
  • Tendonitis or tendinosis (e.g., rotator cuff, Achilles, tennis elbow)
  • Bursitis
  • Scar tissue and adhesions
  • Joint inflammation
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Chronic tightness or soft tissue injuries

Ultrasound therapy is often used alongside chiropractic care, soft tissue work, or rehab to support a faster, more complete recovery.
